A wonderful album.
My personal two favorite pieces of Stravinsky are included on this album and, as a borderline perfectionist, I can say these performances are some of the best. The brass, an essential component of both pieces, shine and, when they need to be, are very intense, especially in Part II of The Rite of Spring. The trumpets in Petrushka are nearly perfect, as are the winds. Part I of The Rite of Spring is a bit strained on this recording and nothing special, but as I said, the brass are still there. It's too bad that I can't download either piece separately.
