In a Word. Striking.
Conventionless. Peerless. Striking. I can best describe this album as a rich auditory experience. I can also tell you that if you're a Sam Sparro fan then I would bet on you enjoying this. They're not at all in the same Genre, but, in my mind, a similar creative spirit drives them. I'm not a music critic so I can't tell you much in detail, but I'm pretty sure if you have eclectic music tastes then you'll enjoy this album. I also have to say that Francis Starlite is one of the best stage names that I've heard in a long time. If you google Francis and the Lights and Striking, you come up on his official site where you can dl it for free. His newest, A Modern Promise, is also a stellar album. Another thing you might enjoy whether or not you're a Kanye West fan is Starlite's cover of "Can't Tell Me Nothing", although I believe that you'll appreciate it more with familiarity of the original.
He turned the lights on for me, that's for sure.
I don't know what to say. It's like a warm blanket that simultaneously offers you a line of coke and tells you everything is fine and will only get better as the night carries on. I'm hooked beyond words. The sincerity of the performance is just enough alone. Listen to this in your car, preferably during the winter with your windows shut and heat turned up. Make it a Friday night, yeah, that'll do.
