Album Review
The sheer magnitude of System of a Down's melodic scope demands an extended lineup for this tribute in strings. In addition to Vitamin's normal complement of violin, cello, and viola, String Tribute to System of a Down (notice Quartet has been removed from that title) also includes toy violins, abraphones, and simplistic yet highly effective percussion. The material is drawn from S.O.A.D.'s three major studio releases and includes highlights like "Aerials," "Spiders," and "Toxicity." Like the band's originals, the versions here teem with creepy anticipation, feature wildly shifting dynamics, and are delivered with furious skill (the tense, hyper rhythms of "Needles" illustrate this especially well). Highly recommended for System freaks.

If you don't like this album than you probably are some gothic kid who doesn't really understand what SOAD is really about.
Very nice
The quality and grace of this music is amazing. Even more amazing is that they were able to maintain the original feel of the song. I noticed some bongos or something in addition to strings which gave many of the songs kind of a middle eastern sound to it. Even if you don't buy the whole album I suggest you at least buy Arials. The only downsides are that its not exactly the heavy sound that i like SOAD for and it just doesn't seem like a complete album as compared to the real thing. Still great music however.
This album is truely a SOAD tribute
for every soad hardcore fan out there, buy this album, or at least a few songs. i suggest spiders, aerials and Peephole. it is artsy, just like system of a down, and the instruments really capture the rock from the songs, jsut listen to one. very great buy
