Album Review

Greatest Hits, Pt. 2 collects all of Styx's radio hits that weren't featured on the first collection, as well as a handful of newly recorded tracks. While there are some fine songs on Part 2, the overall quality isn't as high as that of the first volume, which did have all of the hits. Still, for fans wanting to fill in the holes left by Greatest Hits who don't have the desire to dig deep into Styx's back catalog, Greatest Hits, Pt. 2 is a good purchase.

Styx is the greatest band ever!

Are you familiar with Styx? Have you listened to their "Greatest Hits" collection and love every piece of it? Are you ready to move on to the next steps? Well, here they are! Here's what I think of each song: 1 - An intro track that just leads into the next song. 2 - An unforgettable rocking out intro! 3 - A really cool song! 4 - Tommy Shaw at some of his finest work. 5 - Such a beautiful ballad. 6 - Catchy, but not as memorable as the rest. 7 - Suspensful! Worth a listen. 8 - Not the best Styx music, but very well-written. 9 - Another great rocker! 10 - One of my favorite Styx songs of all time. 11 - Somewhat boring, but somewhat well-written. 12 - Sappy, but heartwarming. 13 - Tommy Shaw does it again. 14 - Bring back any memories of The Grand Illusion? 15 - Kind of annoying. I suggest skipping this track. 16 - Dennis DeYoung sings this absolutely great love song! It's one of the greatest love songs ever written! And there you have it. This is a must have for every Styx fan!

AWESOME!

YOU MUST LISTEN TO STYX!!!!!!!!!

Love Styx

I have been a fan along time. I went to the Paradise Theatre and Kilroy Was Here tours. I wish they would add Paradise Theater to the Itunes list. Half Penny Two Penny was my favorite song. The laser etching on the vinyl was really cool.

Although they began as an artsy prog rock band, Styx would eventually transform into the virtual arena rock prototype by the late '70s and early '80s, due to a fondness for bombastic rockers and soaring power ballads. The seeds for the band were planted in another Chicago band during the late '60s, the Tradewinds, which featured brothers Chuck and John Panozzo (who played bass and drums, respectively), as well as acquaintance Dennis DeYoung (vocals, keyboards). By the dawn of the '70s, the group...
