New to Donovan

I can't say a lot about his other work, as I am new to listening to Donovan. Like just about everyone else on the planet I have heard Mellow Yellow and a few others, never really thinking about who sang them. These are the songs that I think really showcase Donovan's voice. The music and the voice just fit together, so to speak. I know there is this Donovan/Dylan thing out there. This is what Dylan would have sounded like if he could sing.

Soothingly Sweet

I never understood the early Donovan stuff, but this album is super sweet. A great summer afternoon, around the house listen. Cuttin' Out and Catch the Wind were my favs, but all in all it filled that Dylan need, in a more harmonious, less political way.
