YACHT Knows
Jona Bechtolt (and now Claire Evans) have been making infectious dance music for some time, now. They're catchy, fun, and awesome, and the fact that they've teamed up with DFA Records makes me thrilled that two of my favorite indietronica pieces are now melding into one mega-badass sound machine. If you haven't heard YACHT before, they're definitely worth checking out, but like all music it isn't for everyone, so don't buy this blindly then complain about how it wasn't what you were expecting. Once you do know what to expect, you may very well just fall in love.
SUBLIME electro fuzziness!
Saw these guys open for Vampire Weekend with nothin but a laptop and the two of 'em as they danced around mightily. Twas amazing! "It's Boring" got the crowd going for sure. Definately worth a purchase!
