Sundancer > Guns Of Gold
The fumes have really outdone themselves with thier latest record: Sundancer. It has the same blues/rock feel as guns of gold, but with a much more mature sound to it. They used a piano in a couple tracks and it sounds amazing!!! The fumes are still really underground here in the states, but they're getting pretty big in australia where they're from. If you like blues and or good ol fashioned rock n roll, this album is for you. Buy the whole thing, but if you are tryin to save money, I'd reccomend: Slay the liar, who do you love, the letter, python for a pillow, cuddle up the devil, and rouge river woman.
Oh Australia...
The last good band that came out of Australia was Silverchair.. Now it seems like it is producing good bands right and left. I stumbled upon these guys while listening to The Blackwater Fever. I must say I am very impressed with both albums by The Fumes...
Good Buy and can't wait for more.

I'm not sure what's going on in Australia, or how I keep finding these bands, but it seems like there's a blues awakening occurring there. And it sounds pretty dang good. I'm excited to be among the first stateside to hear it, and will definitely have eyes peeled waiting for them to come over. It's all good, so do your ears a favor and pick it up.
