Uh, people are getting ridiculous...

I actually really enjoy this version. I've only heard a bit of the U2 version, and I like the feel of this better. I'm not quite sure what people get out of bashing this song because "it's not like the U2 original!" Boo hoo. The point of a cover is to take a song and make it your own. If Colin Munroe had taken this song and made it into a perfect replica of the original just to please the general public, then he wouldn't be true to himself as an artist. If you can't appreciate the beauty of someone taking a popular song and covering it by taking it down a dirt trail instead of the stupid paved road that everyone else would take just to gain the hearts of fans of the original, then you are truely misguided. Music is all about expressing yourself and making music feel powerful and close to your heart in your own way, not for pleasing others.

No.

Zero stars if I could. Or negative. This is a disgrace to everything this song stands for. It was written to stand against something, not just to be another cookie-cutter 'I hate war' song to be covered when people don't take the time to write what is really on their minds. There is no gusto, no feeling, no variation - and dare I say - is that a banjo? Really now? Whether or not you like U2 is not the issue at hand. This cover is a travesty and the video is the only (extremely slightly) redeeming part of this fiasco. At least there are covers out there worth listening to. Saul Williams does a great one as does Pillar. This one goes on the shelf with Richard Cheese and his near-complete decimation of all things noble in his mambo version of this song. I tag this song is a mistake and most severely suggest it be rescinded. If you want the real deal, go get the U2 version.

I wish I could give 0 stars

This is a disgrace to U2, their fans, and anyone who appreciates music.
