Album Review
A fast rising star in the CCM world, the Oregon-bred singer/songwriter achieves a creative but wholly unforced blend of all of the elements that define catchy, modern rock — hip-hop, reggae, pop, alt-rock, old-school jazz, jangly acoustic guitars, soaring Coldplay-like harmonies. The one difference, of course, is he's confessing his sins and focusing on God's glory, truly from sunup to sundown. The blend of playful acoustic guitars, funky drums, and soaring harmonies on the simply titled "Heaven" draws the listener into an experience that grows richer by the track. The title tune has a lyrical, stripped-down folky quality that blends beautifully with the textured harmonies of the chorus, while "Take This Life" propels the concept of confessional rock to a new level. "Come Around" is a showcase for Wright's convincing rap and reggae skills, but he doesn't forget to include a few of his trademark — here comes that word again — harmonies. He's also in a jangly guitar meets rap mode on the feel-good summertime-inspired track "I Can Feel Your Love," on which he suggests happily that God is in the midst of every barbecue and blue sky. Despite his spiritual seriousness, he enjoys sharing the goofy side of his personality on "Burrito Boy," a humorous account of his intense love of Mexican food and falling in love with the girl who prepares it. Many artists who employ his range of musical influences draw upon the darkness of life, but Wright's intention is to engage on a much more optimistic level, beautifully inspired by his faith.

Growth Exceeds Expectations
Paul Wright's sophomore album is amazing. More spiritual and yet more groovy in sound, Mr. Wright gets it right and gets down with 10 cool tracks. Less influenced by hip-hop on this one, Paul takes a more contemporary yet laid-back feel to this album. The highlight songs include "From Sunrise to Sunset," a straight-up honest approach to our relationship with Holy God. The climactic finish on that song is very satisfying and edifying. "Take This Life" is a call to have God use our life to the max, with the sound to a driving acoustic guitar. The rest of the album is varied up to slow ballads "Thank You," to the reggae-inspired hits like "Spirit Move" and "Resurrection." Try to find the "Burrito Boy" secret song after "Resurrection," a funny track to get your tummy inspired. Paul is such a fine honest artist because his attention to production detail and to the Father up in Heaven.
Just found it on myspace
I first found the song Walking on Water on my friends myspace. Because of the sterotpye of surfing. Then I went to Paul Wright's page, one of many, and listened to some of his songs. I fell in love. He talks about God, and life, and relationships in his songs. And not "i wanna hump you on the floor" type of relationships. Relationships with your friends and partner. Overall this is a great album. My personal favorite from this album in paticular would be 'From Sunrise to Sunset' it is just amazing. He talks about how much God has done in his life and how appreciative he is about it. Which is very important. Don't get me wrong, I'm not some hippie christian that sings hymes everyday. I DO go to church, I DO go to youth, I DO volenteer, I AM a christian, but, I DO curse, I DO drink, but, God forgives. Its a perfect mix of everything. Buy this album if you are looking.
Only listened to
Surfah Girl aka Walking On Water but really I fell in love with it. The guys sound is really ocean like. Sounds weird but its true. I love the song its on my iPod & I think you will too so give it a chance. If your not so sure go listen to it on youtube. I'm sure they have a music video to go with it as well. :)
