The Family is Back
Super Sol Nova is classic Family Stand. Great Songs, musicianship and vocals. This is the kind of album that will please folks who are unhappy with the current state of music and need some substance. I'm very happy with this album and with this band. love them!!!
Just saw them live
Okay, not once but twice in one night. In NYC at BAM and then at The Blue Note. Two different types of spaces. One thing in common: THEY ARE THE BOMB! Stop sleeping and listening to muswack.
They're Back!!!!
I've loved The Stand since the beginning. I give this cd 5 stars of course, nobdy else but these brilliants minds could make "009" & "Everything Works Out", but I must admit I was wanting to hear "In Summer I Fall '07", and now that I think about it, maybe it's best they didn't put a track like that on this joint (or did they with "Sometimes"????). I was also surprised that Sandra St. Victor doesn't dominate this cd, but when she shows up she kills it!!!!! I need these kats to go on tour or put out a DVD so I can catch them live. I'm glad they're back!!!!
