The Best of the Best.

DELUHI is easily desesrving of their title as J-Rock's "Best Breakthrough for 2008". Tasteful composition is executed perfectly by the four talented members. Fans of hard rock and jrock will enjoy DELUHI's unique blend of metal, complete with pounding drums, wailing guitars, and a versatile voice. This EP was the first of DELUHI's releases that I purchased, and I'm glad to see it on America's iTunes, because it's a definite must-have.
Surveilllance kicks off with the title track, an operatic intro, before exploding into the melodic song, Two Hurt. Vivid Place is marked by its dynamics, a high-energy intro to a slow verse, straight into a screaming bridge to the melodic chorus. Yomi no Yuzuriha is a slower song, but nonetheless complicated, showing off the different factions of vocalist Juri's voice to the crooning of guitarist Leda's melody. The EP ends with Recall, which, though it opens as a piano ballad, is quickly revealed to be driving metal, accented by a godly guitar solo; the chorus, which is heard in the preview, is completely tame compared to the rest of the song.
[[I suggest also their MAHADEVA single, which includes the tracks HYBRID TRUTH and Ivory and Irony; HYBRID TRUTH is a gorgeously destructive metal song, while Ivory and Irony contrasts it as DELUHI's first, very successful attempt at a ballad.]]
