One of my favorites...

Sweats and Kicks might very well be one of my favorite "underground" releases of all time. I hate that term "underground", but in this case I just use it to stress how slept-on this album was / is! The entire crew is talented as hell. Sweats and Kicks helped propel AML over to Barak Records (former homes of acts like Slum Village and Phat Kat) for their "2nd release" Jungle Gym Jungle. Not only that, but with Buff1 putting out two amazing solo albums, DJ Haircut getting signed to Stones Throw for his Mayer Hawthorne project, 14KT putting out a beautiful album in 2008 (The Golden Hour sndtrk), the rest of the Legendary Mic League are getting ready for more solo efforts, as well as a step back into the limelight as AML. Every time I listen to Sweats and Kicks, I enjoy it damn near as much as the first time I heard it. This is a "classic" in my eyes... hopefully you'll enjoy it also. Peace.

Love these dudes!

Glad to see them on iTunes! I have all their old records.

A2 landed on the hip-hop map with this...

Easily one of the best albums to emerge from Michigan's talented stable of hip-hop thoroughbreds. Creative beats. Clever wordplay. This album stays in the rotation. Glad to see it on itunes. Recent solo projects from group members 14KT, Buff1, and DJ Haircut/Mayer Hawthorne are 3 x dope. Respect.
