who would have thought.....
... yeah, this is a sweet little ep. the funny thing is, as kind of disturbed as i was by hearing the artist and her producer(?) on what would be the last track (i wanted more music, not talk from people i don't know)... once i heard them interact and dicuss the various tracks on the cd, i felt like i knew erin and got a lot more out of the tracks .... i expect bigger and better in the future. i'm talking the tonight show, and then .... snl !
Just beautiful
This EP gets better every time I listen to it. Erin's voice is totally immersing in the best way. When listening to this I have to stop everything else and just listen. Amelia and Don't Fight have solidly established spots in my top 25 played for 2008. I can't wait for a full album, but thankfully it doesn't look like I'll get tired of listening to these four any time soon.
In her own voice
this is a terrific EP that gives just a taste of the talent Erin Ivey has up her sleeves. In these few songs I think she has found her voice in a whole new way that is somehow more her than ever. He maturity as a writer comes through in "Amelia" and "Climbing Up the Walls - not to mention the subtle composition! Give it a go and catch her on tour when she is in your city.
