Welcome to the Rank 1 "empathy" master class! Learn. Enjoy.
Rank 1 integrates symphonic strings of "resigned angst" with electronic distorted clavichord lead keys. They formally introduce and embellish their "syNTHfo" concept at 2:55 through a beautiful and incredibly articulated marcato stringed theme that persuades you into believing this to be a live symphonic-electronic collaboration with session celloists. With Rank 1 there is always much to learn from and to enjoy; "Symfo" represents no exception. These guys (1) constantly defy strict categorization and (2) always seem to know how to move the crowd. For me, as a producer and an electronica fan this is a classic. Enjoy!
