OMG!!! A singing album!!!! YAY!!
DjRap has one of the most beautiful voices ever!!! some killer dance tunes that are destined to be floor fillers... be sure and get the bonus remix of I'm Ready!
Welcome back, Charissa! I've missed you!
I have been eagerly waiting for this album since Learning Curve 2 was first mentioned YEARS ago. Learning Curve is still one of my favorite albums, and Synthesis does not disappoint at all. I think this is her most melodic venture yet, and aside from "Finally Get To You", I enjoy every track on this album. Sure, the lyrical content is still lacking and flat, but it's dance music - which has never been about lyrics. Her voice is sexy, her music is fantastic.
With the name of the album being Synthesis, however, I was anticipating a mix of d&b and breakbeats like Learning Curve showcased. There is no integration of d&b to be found here, which surprised me. I also feel there is less "attitude" on this album. It still doesn't disappoint, though - I'm on my 4th listen already and still enjoy it!
BUY THIS ALBUM!!!!!!
I cop'd this while she was debuting it live on her website. Love It! Its been 7 years in the making! Well worth the wait.
