Welcome Back!

The long-awaited all-new album from Information Society was worth the wait. With a evolving line-up and a fresh look at synthpop/dance/electro, InSoc shows a musical vision that is still relevant and catchy. "Synthesizer" showcases the recognizable songwriting talens of Information Society founder Paul Robb, and features a new voice - newcomer Chris Anton sings most of the tracks. However, original frontman Kurt Harland lends his familiar, evocative vocals to "The Seeds of Pain," quickly gaining status as a cult favorite. "Synthesizer" is a solid, well-produced, catchy and fun synthpop/dance album from a truly legendary electro/synthpop musical collective that lives up to the high expectations of fans of Information Society, both old and new. InSoc is back with a vengeance.

Return to form

Information Society has returned to form creating music that shows their talent for originality instead of being controlled by a label. Paul Robb, James Cassidy, and Christopher Anton show that good music can be written by the band without the help of Timbaland or some other outside influences. Great work guys. It was well worth the wait.

Unreal this is so good!

I really cannot believe how good this album is... It is one of those where 8 of 10 tracks are supremely listenable... one where you call friends up to share... take it in to the other room when you get home and say "sweetie, you gotta hear this" (she liked the track synthesizer and some of the slower ones as she is not so into upbeat crazy dance music as I am) but if you liked Info Society in the past this will not dissapoint. I have each of their albums starting in 1988 till now and this shows a maturity of the same sound they made their own "Back in the Day" (I think that track is meant to be the first single) which influenced the Shamen etc... The only one I dont like due to juvenile lyrics is "I like the way you werk it". Buy it today!

An agreeable dance outfit with ties to industrial music, techno, and funk plus an equally appreciable pop sense, Information Society hit the dance clubs and later the charts with their infectious breakout single, 1988's "What's on Your Mind (Pure Energy)." The group, a quartet formed in Minneapolis by James Cassidy, Paul Robb, Kurt Harland (aka Kurt Valaquen), and Amanda Kramer, signed to Tommy Boy Records a few years later and recorded a self-titled debut album. The single "What's on Your Mind (Pure...
