Where is Trevor Horn?

I've been buying off iTunes since the first month and this is the first time I felt compelled to write a review. Seal and Trevor Horn have worked together on previous albums. I believe this is the first departure of artist/producer duo. Trevor brought the necessary depth to Seal's work. The reason why Seal is so popular is due to this union. Without Trevor this music has the same popular appeal as Madonna but lacks the complexity that allows you to listen to the music for 15 years without being dated. Stuart, his new producer is a talented Dance Music producer, I just expected more form Seal. You might like these tunes now, but you'll skip past them in 6 months!

Seal Has Found Himself, Maybe

Seal is one of those artists who does it his way for himself and his fans and kind of gives the critics a middle finger salute. I like that about him. While it has made the ride as a Seal fan a little bumpy over time, you end up feeling like the ride has been with an old friend. You feel that you will get through it together and laugh at the end. I think Seal has come up with a very optimistic and possitive album at a time when many people are feeling frustrated, down and generally less than happy. Once you turn this album on, you will be given an instant boost of energy to help you conquer your day. Maybe this is the laughter at the end of the journey, maybe it is just a little break from the whining and complaining that has dominated music over the last 5 years (Greenday anyone?). Still, I find this album to be perfectly timed for my life and I hope that it finds a place in your life as well. This is Seal's best album since the first one in many respects. It lacks some of the Trevor Horn depth that we have come to expect, but it makes up for it in excellent vocals and catchy hooks. We waited four years, but I don't think it was in vain. Thanks Seal.

Wonderful!

I've been a Seal fan from the beginning (no pun intended) and have enjoyed listening to this artist mature in style and talent. I must say that with this latest offering he has, once again, shown his mastery of his art. His songwriting and singing takes my breath away with each song on this album. Seal is truely one of THE BEST vocalists of this and the last century!
