iTunes Review
Coming out of south central Los Angeles, Nipsey Hussle has been making moves for a minute; he's dropped a handful of popular mixtapes (starting in 2005 with Slauson Boy Vol. 1) and has collaborated with both Snoop Dogg ("Upside Down" from Malice n Wonderland) and Lloyd ("Feelin' Myself"). In 2010 he got on the new "We Are the World" track to benefit Haiti and was showcased in XXL's yearly "Freshman Top Ten" list. TMC is his sixth mixtape, and it finds him blending distinctly West Coast swagger with hooks and beats tailor-made for the radio. "Fly Crippen" with Cobby $upreme finds him sounding off about his multiple tattoos and ever-clean Louis Vuitton gear. "Thas Wat Hoes Do" rocks a freaky electro beat with graphic verses about various scandalous hoodrats. This should definitely hold fans over until his official album comes out.
