PLAY THIS LOUD IN A DARK ROOM
If you like Brian Eno you will LOVE this album!!! B.U.H continues to push themselves and there sound, This band just gets better and better. Take flight is something you want played as you go thru your day as the soundtrack to your life....
Enter the World of Blow Up Hollywood
Blow Up Hollywood's latest CD "Take Flight" is an aural journey of emotion, color, and sound. Melodies drift and swirl across the air creating image from vibration. If one could hear the sunrise illuminating a mountainside, then "RKK" is the sound it would make. "Eos" continues to carry us along, traveling from the mountains to an awakening woods, until we reach "Phoenixes and Pheasants" sending us deep into the rain forest where the air is heavy, the light dim, and the jungle surrounding us filled with hidden life observing from a distance. The journey continues throughout the CD, highlighting the band's artistry through illustration as in the patterning of "States of Matter", the regression to calm in "Solace", and the serenity of "Because of Eva".
With each track on "Take Flight" Blow Up Hollywood exhibit their mastery in weaving image and sound into rich textures, creating an ambient world to envelop the listener, perfect for relaxation or artistic creation. Those familiar with Blow Up Hollywood will find "Take Flight" to be another resplendent odyssey. For those who are new to the band, sit back, relax, and allow them to take you into the sensory world that is Blow Up Hollywood.
Conceptual AND Relaxing.
I suppose not everyone will understand it at first, but it's a treat once you ALLOW yourself to be absorbed in the beautiful music. Reminds me a bit of what I learned about tones and harmonics and "perfect sounds" in Physics courses I took years ago. I really love track #3; Pheonixes and Pheasants!
