iTunes Review
Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dion has spent much of his recent career mining early rock 'n' roll hits and the blues. Albums like Son of Skip James and Bronx in Blue prove the man who gave the world "A Teenager in Love" with The Belmonts back in the late '50s is still interested in uncovering the emotional power of timeless music. Tank Full of Blues features mostly newly written original blues songs. "Ride's Blues (for Robert Johnson)" imagines a conversation with the Mississippi Delta blues great. "I Read It (In the Rolling Stone)" turns up a slinky blues and toys with the idea of getting your cultural cues from Rolling Stone magazine. The production is straightforward and no-nonsense, presenting a solid drummer who plays in the pocket, lead guitar licks that are modestly overdriven, and vocals that are cool but never detached. The chemistry between musicians means that "My Michelle," "My Baby's Cryin'," and "I'm Ready To Go" are textbook examples of what the modern blues can be.

Dion & Blues!
Bronx Poem is amazing! What a beautiful affirmation of a man who still has so much to offer us all. From Abraham, Martin and John to Blues. What a journey!
Amazing
That voice, those grooves. He hasn't lost his schtick at all... very modern springsteen on some tunes. I dig it!
Super relevant, the real Dion at his best
Get your Rockn' Roll roots and history on here. Yea... I played on this album and let me tell you, it was captured in the moment and Dion was in great form. This is no sad blues album, it actually makes you feel good. We're so lucky to have Dion, the real deal, still giving us what we need. You should crank this up loud on a good system, get inside and feel the raw and unpretentious vibe. Rave on brother we love you!
