Met Dan Blakesly In the Park Street Subway Station in Boston
I fell in love with Dan's music as soon as I heard him the first time in Boston's subway. I have a podcast at http://PursuingABalancedLife.com. If you do the hard work of looking for episode 481, you can hear a complete soundseeing tour of Boston and Dan is featured briefly, in the background, near the beginning of the tour and then prominently near the end of the tour.

This is the way to discover music
I heard Dan in the Boston Subway. I love the fact that he's playing down there with the awesome acoustics, but also has the iTunes presence as well. You must buy this album. The sound is very mellow and folky, but for a modern era.
A Tremendous Talent
I happened to hear Dan Blakeslee perform live in Boston several months ago. From the first note I was hooked. His music is fresh, wonderfully creative, soulful and moving. He played several tracks from this album so I picked it up at his show and have listened to it through several times now. I am especially drawn to the wonderful storytelling woven into music in "The North Woods", "Lazy Eyed Girl", and "Girl from Baltimore". Pick up this album and enjoy this wonderful music!
