Exciting performances
Exciting performances by Benedetti.
Shockingly sub-par
Plauged with intonation problems and and unfocused tone, this recording of two old warhorses sounds at best like an audition tape of a semi-skilled student. Benedetti's Tchaikovsky has no defined concept of what it wants to do and her Bruch is bloated and played without conviction. Both pieces seem beyond her reach. Better luck next time. -Bz
