Do you people even know the show?
I don't understand what the problem with the song is. If any of you actually watch the show, you'll know that the song is referencing it. In case any of you forgot, Barney borrows Ted's name a couple of times, and someone makes a website about how much of a jerk "Ted" is. So don't just comment without understanding. I LOVE Ted, and I know he isn't a jerk. I also love, love, love HIMYM, and anything related to it is absolutely amazing:)

Barney told a girl he was Ted Mosby and architect. She made a website tedmosbyisajerk.com. They even really set it up. When Barney talked to the girl she told him of it, and he said "Everyone in the restaurant I TED MOSBY are a jerk. Tell your friends, family, neigboors, tedmosbyisajerk.com". All thanks to Barney, Ted said that "small website" went on to get millions of hits. There is really a website, and a tedmosbyisnotajerk.com. Please, go ahead and check them both out.

This song is hilarious, but it seems like most of you don't get the reference. In the episode from season 2 "Ted Mosby, Architect" is when Barney goes around Manhattan telling people that his name is Ted Mosby and that he's an architect. Robin and Lily trace the clues thinking that Ted is cheating on Robin. They find him post-coital in a girl's apartment and before they all leave, Barney leaves the girl a form-letter saying that he's a ghost that rematerializes every 100 years on his death. He can't remember her name, so refers to her as "resident" on the letter, which is signed Barney. Later, in Season 3, during the episode "The Bracket", Barney is forced by Lily to apologize to the women and the top 4 worst things he did to them. The previously mentioned lady tells Barney, who she still thinks is named Ted Mosby, tells him that she made a website called TedMosbyIsAJerk.com and that she's not taking it down. If you go to TedMosbyIsAJerk.com you'll find that it has gotten over 51,000 hits. You'll also be able to listen to this track in its entirety and read Barney's form letter.
