Album Review
Canada's early answer to new wave sounded suspiciously like classic '50s and '60s rock & roll with the amps turned up and the lips curled back in a sneer. In a lot of ways, Teenage Head skirts the edge between new wave and punk, often sounding like a slightly more versatile version of the Ramones. Lyrically speaking, it skips from one degeneracy to another and is often a bit on the stupid side (like many other punk classics, come to think of it), but the music is solid enough throughout to make that irrelevant.

Unforgettable !!!
These boys know how to rock & roll. This album was the soundtrack to many a Southern Ontario hipster's nights of merriment in the suburbs or r'n'r up at the lake. Gordie Lewis would fry an incredible mélange of punk, rockabilly or roots rock from that old Gibson guitar, Chuck Berry’s influence never far from the surface of his fantastic fret work. At the live shows Nick's drums played like a possessed machine gun behind Steve's chomping and distinctive bass. Frankie was our homegrown Mick Jaeger. They were truly special.
Hamilton Rules
growing up in Southern Ontario in late 70's - early 80's, this was THE party band. this was the first of 3 great party albums, plus a cool live album, I have all 4 on vinyl. Lucy Potato, not much more fun in sweaty basement dancefloor in Hamilton Ontario. Lets Go To Hawaii is best TH song, lets hope itunes makes it available soon.
Teenage Head
Well if you told me when I was 16 rocking out to Frankie V that 30 years later I would find this album on something called the internet....well you get it. I must have seen these guys 20 times in concert from my high school to Ontario Place. So here I am in Montgomery Alabama with a wife and kid rocking out in my kitchen...greatest album ever!
