Worth the Buy
I was lazy and missed the chance to order the special edition of Overdressed, which this was a part of. However, just because it didn't make the main album, doesn't mean it isn't a great song. Originally, this was to be a women's part, but the band loved Derek's version of it. It has a very rough sound to it, but that is part of its charm. Derek's voice seems odd at first, but by the end, it builds perfectly. Really, this is a great song that probably should have made the main album. Listen for it on the finale of Grey's Anatomy this season.
Heartfelt, amazing, and simple
I am suprised that this song did not make it on the regular Overdressed album. This song is fantastic and really quite amazing. Derek Webb and his wife Sandra McCracken wrote this song and Derek's vocals on this are tender and raw at the same time. There is a sense of longing in this song and the understated production suits this perfectly.
Simply Genius
Omg...when I first heard that A CHRISTIAN SONG was gong to played on Grey's Anatomy I had to check it for myself knowing that they know what they are doing when they choose songs for the show. I heard the song and wanted to buy it immediately...so I did and wasn't disappointed. This song is amazing!!! It made it straight to my "Favorites" playlist. I love how simple yet grasping it is. The voice in the song sounds all natural and not made in a studio which makes the person seem more down to Earth when singing it. You can really feel what it is that he is singing and it seems like he is right there talking to you. This is a definite must-have for the collection!!!
