I love my local music
I love these guys, they are from Seattle, and their bass guitarist (Sean) makes my coffee at Starbucks. But they do sound like Tool, and I love Tool! originality is a problem, but I like them because the songs don't drag on like Tool, they are a little shorter, which makes them a little more tollerable in my books
Great album!
I wrote a review for their second album, Eidolon, previously stating my love for their music. I liked it so much I decided to pick up this one as well and am just about equally impressed. The second album is probably slightly better and if you were to only purchase one I would recommend Eidolon. However I sincerely recommend both as it will be well worth your money. Can't wait for the new album this summer. Kudos to RISHLOO, my new favorite band.
Disappointed
I'm from the Pacific Northwest and have heard a bit about these guys so I thought I'd pick their stuff up to support our local music scene. Waste of my $10! These are total TOOL wannabes in every shape and form. Don't get me wrong, I love TOOL, but these guys are way too melancholy. I always give bands the benefit of the doubt and listen all the way through thier cds, I barely made it through this one without falling asleep. Good musicianship, good recording, just way to TOOLesque for me, the slow TOOL.
