Brilliant

A crystal clear, high energy performance, with just enough juice added from electronic musician Dennis DeSantis to push the piece into new territory, while still remaining true to the original. GVSU New Music Ensemble has done it again.

Actually pretty tight version

Alot of times this piece gets really annoying and boring (or you essential fall into a coma which ever comes first) despite the fact that is is ground breaking and origional. But, this version is actually pretty interesting to listen to. So, for everyone who crossed this piece off your list of music to check out when you first heard, I would suggest giving it another shot.

Live in the Village

This is one of those few live recordings that actually captures the energy and vibe of the concert while also sounding like it could have been done in the studio. This university ensemble shines (Bill Ryan has done it again--the guy is a wizard!) and DeSantis gets to linger and develop his mix over an extended period--the result transcends genres and breathes new life into one of the hallmark works of the last century. The Fish is Red; Long Live the Fish.
