It Doesn't Sound So Good To Me...
Josh Dubovie is quite talented when it comes to the vocals, but this song was definitely not the best choice for the Eurovision Song Contest this year. Not only does it use the abhorred word "opportunity" in its lyrics, but one of its chorus lines is "You bring the sunshine, I'll bring the good times!!" The overall melody of the song is very typical of what you'd see as a reality show opener, and the tone of it is way too upbeat to enjoy; having no minor chords in it, the song is in musical distress!
In my opinion, a song could only be written a tad bit worse. I agree with its placement as 25 of 25 in the contest final, and wish the UK better luck next year. Cheers.
