Classical at its best

For some one who appreciates classical music, I can say this ablum will not dissapoint. It is a great collection of the 50 most recognized and influential pieces of music in our history. If you are looking for an album with variety of music, artists, instruments, and sounds tracks then this is definetly one of the top choices!

The 50 Greatest Pieces of Classical Music

This particular collection of songs is perfect for people that love classical music as well as people who aren't really too into it. It is such a great deal for 50 great songs for less than $10! The entire family loves this playlist.. I put it on the ipod at the house from the beginning and let it play all the way through. It has enough songs so that it never gets old, and I'd definitely recommend it!

Beautiful, but rather bare-bones.

Before I begin, I feel it's important to emphasize that this is the London Philharmonic, meaning the muscicianship on display here is second to none. That being said, what you're purchasing is an album of "classics." You won't find any deep cuts and you certainly won't be presented with any challenging material that you haven't already heard a million times before. Just be sure to read the track listing to gain an understanding of what you're getting into. However, the price is right and the pieces are as beautiful as you've ever heard them, so buy this album.

My biggest complaint here is with Ma Vlast. The London Philharmonic's iteration isn't quite as, well, "dark" as I'd prefer, but that's obviously a question of personal preference.
