Contemporary flashback - excellent!

One day I was flipping channels and came across an MTV concert that caught my attention. A guy that reminded me of someone I used to jam with in the mid to late '70's, was rocking down with lyrics that were reminiscent of that era but was original stuff. I listened further to see whether what I was listening to was an old clip or a recent one and much to my surprise, fairly recent - the Abbey Road Sessions... NICE! I watched and listened more and picked up on the string section that told me this guy wasn't just some schmuck wanna-be but the real McCoy! The bluesy riffs and original lyrics kept me watching and the fact that the music was uplifting and encouraging, made me think I was watching a clip from Woodstock. Since MTV never aired who this guy was or what the name of the band was, I went searching iTunes by assumed song names and came across this album and got hooked. If you want real talent, original lyrics reminiscent of the 70's era but with a bit of today's edge and top-notch creativity built-in, this is the artist you're looking for!

The Family Dance

We had friends over for dinner about a month ago, and we watched this on MusicHD. The groove was so cool; we are all Grateful Dead fans, and before you knew it, we were all dancing, kids and all. Tonight, by chance, we came across it again and started dancing. I was doing homework at the computer, but couldn't resist to get up and dance with the hubby and two kids. We are going on a road trip this weekend, and we agreed...a must have.

Worth it just for "Stay Young"

I caught the Abby Road Sessions concert on the new MTV High Def channel; Music HD. It was the first time I ever saw or head of him and the music is amazing. I have purchased a few other singles and was glad to see the live version here. "Free" looked like so much fun when they were performing it. And "Stay Young" with White Buffalo is AMAZING!
