Blown Away
i've been eagerly awaiting this album for a long time. been listening to sneak peak tracks on their myspace for months, all slackjawed in awe. it's delicious rock/pop/atmospheric musical dialog deserves to be played loud and often. highly recommended.
Just discovered yesterday...ex-Duster must be golden
Heard this band yesterday on KEXP out of Seattle, the title track off this album, "The Acrobats," and took note. Committed to ordering their debut album after learning both members of Duster are present here in Helvetia. From what I've heard so far, I am excited to have found them. Duster's "Stratosphere" was a gem of an album, so perfect for particular times. I just read a review (a preview) of The Acrobats on Amazon.com, and the writer referred to the band's ability to effectively create a visceral atmosphere through its sound...like settling into a certain room, at a certain time of day, in a certain season. Recorded music, transformative, and instantly nostalgic can get you in just the right way. I look forward to owning this...now.

These guys are really good. I saw them live a few years ago with Built to Spill. I too had been wiating a while to hear this album. Good indie band to give a chnace too.
