The Toys Rock!!
It's been a long time since I have heard music written this well. The girl singing is one of the best I have ever heard. And whoever wrote the actual music is a genius. I highly recommend this band to anyone that loves electronic music it’s a great fusion of the 80's mixed with musical elements of today. Great job Toys I look forward to seeing you live someday!!
Toys are forever
There's something about the Toys' sound that takes me to another place -- I don't know if it's the dreamy guitar, the subtle toy piano in the background or Melancholy's siren-like vocals, but it's a sweet out-of-body experience listening to them. I met two of the Toys, the vocalist and one of the guitarists, at an Amanda Palmer concert a year or so ago. They were so freakin' nice and fun and when they mentioned they were in a band I figured they would be amateurish (they were too nice to have talent lol); but I was so mistaken. When I looked them up online I couldn't believe my ears. I've been a fan ever since and had eagerly awaited the release of their album. Unlike a lot of electronic music that trades meaningful lyrics for the "i met you at a club"-themed dance lyrics, the Toys never sacrifice good writing for commercial trends. Every song can stand alone as a story told in beautiful lyrics, melody and instrumentation.

I found me some toys.
Just found you guys. Don't know much about you yet, but a friends of mine turned me on to you about a week ago. I was very surprised to hear such amazing songs. Lyrically, the songs truly touch me. I find myself on an emotional roller coaster every time I listen to you guys. My faves would have to be Porcelain, Robot and Henry Poole is Here. Thank you and looking forward to more songs! Thank you.
