Baseball lore told well through song

If you a fan of baseball or baseball history, then you will enjoy this album. My personal favorite is Dock Ellis' No-No. Reminds us that steriods was not the first drug of choice in baseball nor the first performance enhancer. Bonehead Merkle also is very good. Fred Merkle transforms from goat to folk hero.

Americana billiant story telling

Very clever and fun album - the song about the Baseball Clown (Gone to Heaven) and the first white to play inthe Negro leagues (Eddie Klepp) are just brilliant portrayals of baseball and America - satire and all. Might think you are listening to Bob Dylan when first played - and songs are just as timeless and endearing. Thank you, Chuck.
