Bamako Blues
Amadou & Mariam's newest CD release is a compilation from 3 previous releases (primarily) and a GREAT value. Check out the songs Je Pense a Toi, A radio mogo and Mouna. While there is no Mblax music here, Amadou & Mariam create their own musical style(s) mixing blues, rock, and roots reggae. Sometimes acoustic and sometimes electric but if you listen you will find that even though Amadou & Mariam cannot see (blind) they can sing and play. If you like this CD check out Ismael Lo, Oliver Mtukuzi or Pape & Cheikh. For Mblax see Youssou N'Dour.
