Album Review

This 1995 Epic release is easily the best introduction to the Atlanta-based group's unique fusion of funk, disco, and improvisational soul. With only one pronounced omission — their later 1981 hit "Sweat (Until You Get Wet)" — The Best of Brick covers all the major points of the group's short but influential seven-year recording career — with a decided focus on their first two records. This is a fresh look at a group whose influence has remained steady over the past two decades.

A longer version of "Dazz" can be found on "Disco Super Hits", available on iTunes...

Tha funk

This is a very solid collection of a lot of Brick's best songs (including "Dusic," "Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody," "Good High," "Push Push," and "Dazz.")
My only gripe here (like another reviewer above) is that "Dazz" is included here in its edited single form, cutting out the tight flute solo in the middle of the song. To Brick fans, that's absolute sacrilege... My advice is to seek out the 5:45 version of the song (it is available here on iTunes...)
Other than that, this is the collection to get for a good overview of a highly underappreciated band.

The sound of this band will never really be replicated. They are a classic in time.
