The Best of The Best
Love to hear all women singing these tunes. So excited to hear music from Fiona Apple and also discover new artists like Missy Higgins---whose track I'm currently addicted to! Great songs and great performers all the way around.
Brilliant
I'll admit it, I stumbled upon this album more or less by chance. I had never really heard Cy Coleman's work, but this compilation is nothing short of enthralling. I particularly suggest "Then Was Then and Now is Now," "Why Try to Change Me Now," "Too Many Tomorrows," and "(I'm) In love Again." Brilliant, melancholic, beautiful, powerful jazz. People who like the sad, simple tunes might also check out Cat Power. Give this a chance!
