A Kaleidoscope and a Coming of Age
Bobby Roman's latest offering is a kaleidoscope musically and a coming of age spiritually. It is a must hear! Musically you will hear at once the mixture of his native latino rhythms mingled with the influences of black gospel, jazz, pop,and even islandish reggae. This is truly a collaborative effort of his many contacts through the years literally reaching from New York to L. A. enlisting the likes of iconic jazz flautist Dave Valentine, tenor saxophonist Bob Franceshini, and alto saxophonist Eric Darius to mention but a few. Franceshini's horn lines are hip and tasteful. Spiritually you will hear the results of Bobby's lifelong journey and his longing to reach it's ultimate goal, his heavenly home. The lyrics reflect his deep Hebraic roots, speaking of his own "exodus from Egypt" and his desire to see the appointed times come into their final fruition. He longs to see his Messiah come and establish His rule both now and in eternity. May this album be a trumpet to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers. May it not be just another gospel album that gets no further than the four walls of the church but a tool for winning many souls to the glory of God.
