Mark Is Awesome!
This EP is really, really good. There are a lot of bands in this genre that all sound the same. However, Sailship is different. You can tell that he actually has talent and his voice isn't "drenched in autotune" like most generic bands of the electronic scene. Bands like Owl City have really raised the bar for the electronic genre and Sailship can totally compete.

This is a fanatical purchase!! I encourage you fully to take the leap and let Sailship engulf your heart and inspire your dreams, you'll never look back. Mark is an incredulously talented musician and just an overall great guy and it shows in his music. I'm excited for you, have a listen :)
Just Breathtaking Art
I found out about Mark and his music through some Owl City fans on Twitter and can honestly say, checking out his Myspace was one of the best things I have ever done. I remember opening up the page and pressing play and how just totally captivated I was with the music. It has really pure classical undertones, mixed with stunning electronic layers that just play off each other beautifully. His lyrics take you on a journey that is simple on the surface, but complex at it's core, very much like his instrumentals.
I was pleased that Mark didn't try and copy Owl City and don't believe that the two of them can be clearly compared (beyond the fact that they are one-man-bands from Minnesota who do electronic/ambient music). I love Owl City, but I believe that Mark has defined himself as an artist and will only continue to grow and become more popular.
I would recommend this EP to everyone. All of the songs have a clarity and purity to them that I highly admire for an artist who records out of his home, makes the hard-copies of his CD's, and ships them himself. Mark is an incredible person who considers his fans his friends and just makes you feel like you are an important influence to his music. He is currently working on recording his full length debut album so that's one more thing we can look forward to from Sailship!
I hope you enjoy this EP as much as I have. I haven't been able to stop listening to it on repeat since I bought it.
