Amazing Album
Buy this album right now. This review will be here when you come back. The Bitter End is incredible. Moving, majestic, passionate, it's the perfect album. The music and feel of this album pull you in, keeping you involved for the entire fifty minutes. It's such a beautifully poetic piece of work, you can hardly breathe, fearing that you will ruin the complex and powerful grace of this album. Musically speaking, this album is sparse. Vocals and guitar, with a hint of stomping. It doesn't need anything else. Perfect. You need to buy this album. Otherwise, you'll be missing out on the best album in years.
Super
This record is great for a rainy day or driving at 3 in the morning or when you lover has left you for another more fitting individual. Andy's songwriting is far more advanced then artists twice his age. RAGC is also uniquely different from that of his main endevour Manchester Orchestra. The tension in Hulls voice keeps you on your toes throughout the entire record. Trust me, your not gonna want to pass this one up.
Amazing Album
If I was to describe this album in one word, the word that would best fit would be "haunting" followed closely by "holycrapamazingmovingawesome." This album is a solo project from Manchester Orchestra frontman Andy Hull. Its a concept album about a sailor in the 1600s who leaves his family to become a sailor. The songs are journal entries or letters to his wife or the captain of the ship. The entire album is amazing and the songs fit together wonderfully and is beautifully written. Highlights include, Oh, Deciever, Right Away Great Captain, Night Marry You, Right Ahead, You Sailor! and What a Lullaby, What a Way to die. Its a good one.
