Very good
As a fan of Modest Mouse, I thought that this would be more terrible bluegrass music that I would never listen to in my life. However, I listened to a couple of them on a freind's request and found them to be amazing. The album was purchased in the next hour. Last thoughts: This album is a must-have for all MM fans. (Best song on the album = Polar Opposites, IMO.) Great stuff, all of it.
Stands on its own
I listen to this album as much if not more than any modest mouse album. Very well interpreted. It seems like it would be a novelty that would wear thin after a few listens, but after a year this one is still on heavy rotation.
Wow, pretty good!
Interstate 8 sounds great, like a mix between the original and Ventura Highway...it gets a little monotonous after awhile but in short bursts these are very powerful yet soulful versions of the originals.
