Album Review
This CD combines two of Cher's disco albums, 1979's Take Me Home and 1980's Prisoner, on one compact disc. Although these are certinaly not among her best albums, it's a nice way for serious fans to acquire both albums on CD.

Take Her Home
This compilation contains the entire contents of Cher's two Casablanca albums; "Take Me Home" and "Prisoner". "Take Me Home" starts off with a suite of disco songs produced by Bob Esty (who had previously worked as an arranger for Donna Summer), the title track became a club and radio hit but the other three songs are just as good. The remaining tracks from "Take Me Home" aren't as consistent. "Prisoner" (also produced by Esty) is more consistent throughout. Not specifically a disco album, "Prisoner" does contain several danceable tunes including the rollerdisco song "Hell On Wheels". The only things lacking here are Cher's contribution to the "Foxes" soundtrack (a Casablanca release) "Bad Love" which would have fit in very well here and the original "Take Me Home" cover artwork - Cher as a what can only be described as a disco valkyrie. Beware of the far inferior reissue of "Take Me Home" also available, it contains the single edits of some tracks and includes several earlier Cher hits which don't fit in stylistically with this album, this is the version of "Take Me Home" to get.
Git Down.. on the Dance Floor
Two of cher's best albums ever recorded.. right after the mess with Warner Bros. Prisoner is highly under rated.. I can't tell you how many times i've danced at 3 am to Hell On Wheels and had complaints from the neighbors.. This compilation features two complete albums.. and its't the only set to have the REAL versions to these songs..
awesome!
but what i wish was, they had the picture on the cover of the prisoner album. Man!!!!! that is the most awsome album art of all. she looks awsome in thos chains. check her out
