College Dropout poses ethical questions about living poor and wanting (and achieving) more. ("I'll Fly Away," "Spaceship," and "All Falls Down" are prime examples.) There are moments of fierce determination on "Through the Wire" and "Never Let Me Down" that give the record additional lift. The Chicago producer aimed the magnifying glass inward to reveal a bifurcation of expectations as "the first nigga with a Benz and a backpack." On "Graduation Day," a voice chastises him for not making songs for the kids. "Jesus Walks" asks pointed questions about the role of religion in music. And West does this with a magician's sleight-of-hand, a generous amount of sweetener, and a cheetah's ear for hooks. Overhyped? Nah, College Dropout deserved every Grammy award it won and more.

Jesus Walks With Kanye West ‘Cause He’s the Best!

An awesome album. Awesome Songs: We Don't Care- CATCHY All Falls Down- CATCHY Jesus Walks- HIT Get ‘Em High- CATCHY The New Workout Plan- CATCHY Slow Jamz- HIT School Spirit- CATCHY Trough the Wire- HIT AND BEST LYRICS The rest is still really good (even though last call is soooo long and the last ¾ is just talking). Buy the whole album. All of it. NOW. It’s better than Late Registration (but LR is still really good as well). All the songs are great at the least and the skits are hilarious. The lyrics are creative and genius. His lyrical skill is almost as great as Eminem’s, which is saying A LOT. Worth $12.00. RATE MY REVIEW HELPFUL PLEASE

Maybe The Only Thing To Change My Mind

I hate almost all rap. Kanye makes up the little of the almost. I don't like his new album probably because I liked this one too much. I was expecting more from him. Anyway, I love it. The bear rocks first of all. "All Falls Down" is super catchy. "Jesus Walks" has a sweet beat. "Never Let Me Down" is just great. "The New Workout Plan" is another great Kanye performance. "Through The Wire" is nice and deep. "Breathe In Breathe Out" does super along side Ludacris. "I'll Fly Away" is fun. "Slow Jamz was a hit. "We Don't Care" is my favorite track on the CD for reasons. The skits are fun too... I especially like the "Lil Jimmy" one. This album may have changed my mind on rap slightly. Kanye West is not a "Dropout" here. I will give it a grand 9.5 out of 10. Fantastic.
