iTunes Review
At a time when New York rap was deeply entrenched in the nihilistic urban visions of Mobb Deep and Notorious B.I.G., The Coming was a much-needed reminder of the rambunctiousness that made rap fun to begin with. By the time the album was released in 1996, Busta Rhymes was a veteran of the rap scene, having paid his dues with the forward-thinking rap crew Leaders of the New School and cementing his reputation with an unforgettable verse on A Tribe Called Quest's timeless single "Scenario." Decked out in unruly dreadlocks and a wardrobe of neon-colored parkas, Busta was like no one else in rap when he announced himself to the world with the video for "Woo Hah!! Got You All In Check," the dizzy, danceable hit single from The Coming. His boisterous demeanor was what made Busta memorable, but with a pedigree that extended to the early days of hip-hop, he could rhyme with the best that New York had to offer. Boasting beats from New York pals like Q-Tip and EasyMo Bee, The Cominghas the same smoothed-out bounce as Illmatic and Ready To Die, but it's Busta and his bigmouth, unstoppable and in-your-face antics, that makes the album a classic.

BEST OF BUSTA
When this album came out in the 90's it was fire and it still is. Nothing better than hearing a veteran artist like busta's 1st solo album to hear how hungry for fame he was. Best cd he ever made by far. Nothing but charisma and free spirit in this one. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THIS ALBUM YET THEN BUY IT AS FAST AS YOU CAN AND RESCUE YOURSLEF FROM 2DAYS CRAPPY HIP HOP!!!!!
the best busta album
this is a bomb a** album i think if busta rhymes were like this all the time he would be one of the best rappers today. i personally think he put his talent in concrete with his first 3 albums but this is the best at his prime. he still is good in terms of lyrics but he needs to approach rap at a different angle.
Busta's Finest Hour
Busta has many quality releases, but only 1 classic. And here it is. No need to get long-winded here. This album is one of the best hip-hop releases ever. Busta is a lyrical beast on this album. It's surprisingly sad how far his star has fallen since...This disc is fire, can ya dig?
