Some of the best music on the market!

Every once in a while, an album comes along that sets the world of electronica on its ears, combining lush soundscapes and haunting vocals into a musical soup that is flavorful, but easy to swallow. Sleepthief's debut album, The Dawnseeker, is just such an album. In a worn out world of clicks and beeps and "music" that barely goes deeper than one-dimensional, Dawnseeker shows remarkable depth. Every track is pure listening pleasure, deep, complex, layered. It's fun to listen to, and even better the second and third times as you delve deeper into its structure, and find new surprises hidden in what you thought you knew already. It's amazing to me that The Dawnseeker is a debut album - it shows remarkable maturity. And for the money, it's some of the best "relax and listen to" music on the market. It's definitely worth a listen, but please go farther than just listening to the excellent covers of Duran Duran's "The Chauffeur" and Berlin's "The Metro". There's plenty more to be found in the original content. Jody Quinne's beautiful voice lends itself nicely to the haunting "Eurydice" then gives subtle eroticism to "Kiss to Savor". They might be some of the best tracks on the album. Or could it be "Just Say It" or "Fire from Heaven"? Chosing a favorite is no simple task with "The Dawnseeker". This isn't music you should expect to hear on the radio. So give the track samples a listen, then take a moment and treat yourself to an hour of real entertainment. Your ears (and your brain) will thank you.

Hypnotic

I play this and I enter in a trance. It is so relaxing, moving, inspiring, melodic, catchy, calm (yet chaotic at the same time), fresh, and...I get a big Enya vibe, which is always welcomed. I play this while I'm studying. I hope that's not strange. Ha! My favorites are "Just Say It" and "The Metro."

Enchanting Smooth Electronica -

Beautifully composed melodies and intermelodies embedded in a soft, electronic package. Every song is amazing, with 2 cover songs that are perhaps better than the orginal artists. The vocalists have a perfect blend of harmony and soft melody, with intricate interludes that will give you chills. Although the sound can be compared to Delerium, Sleepthief takes a style all his own that is perhaps softer and more peaceful. The instrumentation is outstanding! Undoubtedly one the best genre's albums ever released.
