by Greg S...Fair to Midland are one of the most amazing bands that I've ever heard. This is their first mainstreem debut. Prior to their full release "Fables from a Mayfly: What I Tell You Three Times is True", The Drawn and the Quartered EP Includes two "demos" of FFAM songs. These are the versions that were on their true second album: inter.funda.stife, now availible only through illegal downloads and eBay for over $50. This CD shows you a glimpse of early Fair to Midland as well as a great interpretation of what they sound like live. I would however, suggest buying the physical disc (If you can still find it in a tiny record store) because of the 12+ mins of live video included. "Gather round, hold your glasses up high, Drink to love as we wait for high tide"
I would highly suggest obtaining Inter.Funda.Stifle in any way you can, along with their first release, The Carbon Copy Silver Lining.
A big high-five for getting signed and still refusing to sell out!!!! Great job!
BTW: Orphan Anthem '86 is the best song that ever happened. IF nothing else, get this. It isn't just an early demo, it is the IFS version, the only version recorded of this song. 5 stars for all. Great impressssion from the live stuff too.
The best band ever and amazing cd!
by gnarlypersonBy far this is my favorite band ive ever discovered, the lyrics are catchy, the beet is nice, and the song names are very creative. Id love to see these guys make it to the top 100s or even maybe make it to the top 10s! If you think so to vote yes and help Fair get to top 100s! (tell your friends and stuff)
A great companion
by kikin81These tracks will satisfy followers of the band. Kyla Cries Cologne (Demo) is slightly different that the later re-released. Both live performances are amazing, great quality, made me want to be present at such concert. A great companion to those who already own Fables from a Mayfly, and a good introduction for those who have not yet experienced Fair to Midland.
