Surviving personal upheavals and professional challenges, Sandi Patty continues to find new ways to express a God-centered message after 30-plus years of recording. The Edge of the Divine — her first album of new material in seven years — is a welcome return by one of Christian music’s most recognizable voices. Producer Chance Scroggins (Point of Grace, Mandisa, Addison Road) brings a fresh studio perspective, particularly on the upbeat tracks. “Faith Dancing” and “Times Like These,” for instance, invite comparisons with the galloping dance-pop of Krystal Meyers and Britt Nicole. On “Makes Me Wanna Pray,” Patty puts some growl into her take on an R&B groove tune. The singer’s early struggles with self-esteem add a special poignancy to the ballads “Worthy” and “When Life Gets Broken” (the latter a duet with Point of Grace’s Heather Payne). "All to Bring You Glory” (a Broadway-esque piece swathed in strings) and a contemporary version of the timeless hymn “A Mighty Fortress of Our God” allow Patty to show off her powerhouse vocals to full advantage.

Sandi Patty's new CD "The Edge of The Divine" isn't on the edge of anything!! IT IS ON THE MARK! THIS CD IS AMAZING AND EXCELLENT! Sandi Patty sounds amazing! Of course!
My FAVORITE track is Christina Augilera's "MAKES ME WANNA PRAY!" What a cool choice to put on here. I find myself weeping when I hear "When Life Gets Broken" and when the CD starts, I start dancing when "FAITH DANCING" comes on!
"All To Bring You Glory" reminds me that no matter what we go through in life, it is ALL to bring HIM glory! Somebody preach!
So, to sum it all up: GET THIS CD NOW!!!!!

What can I say, Sandi has won my heart once again. Her amazing ability has put the feelings from my heart into words. I love it!
Great...but beware!
Sandi always delivers. This album has some great songs. But beware when buying the whole cd! Two of these exact arrangements ("We Shall Behold Him" and "A Mighty Fortress") were on another recent album of hers. I spent $$$ on songs I already have. This isn't the first time she's done this!
