Ginormous delivers another beautiful, strange, intriguing album. Highly recommended.
The Story of this Discovery
I actually learned about this group through the TV series "Avatar: The Last Airbender". It's meant as a kid's show, but the writing inspired me to look into the masterminds behind it. One of these masterminds, Bryan Konietzko (the co-creator) Is actually in this band and, seeing as how I love the music from the show regardless of his lack of involvement, I figured I would check it out. Boy was I surprised at the fantastic quality of this emotionally turbulent and beautiful piece of work! Currently I'm downloading some of his music, and I haven't gotten around to all of it just yet, but I can tell you right now that some of the two most moving pieces are as follows:
