Customer Reviews

This album rocks and the vibe is so good!!!

Amazing album, sounds almost almost as good as band live, that's saying a lot with this band. One of the best albums of 2009.

You will see a new direction, everywhere you turn!

It's important to emphasize that I don't write "reviews". Face it, the only review modern music gets is a corporate go ahead, backdoor deal, my nephew's in a band, sign em let's make some cash, "review". Make no mistake, this is no review, but a plead to anyone with any standards anymore to turn the G D radio off and get ahold of this self-titled album "The Entrance Band". I could rave for days about Paz's groovy, melodic bass lines, Derek's kick in the teeth power fills, or Guy's thundering, anxious guitar tone- But the record speaks for itself. I haven't met anyone who's seen The Entrance Band live, and not been simply amazed at their mastery. Self-righteous indie-mag "reviews" lauding their talents, while dismissing this debut album as over-produced and not experimental enough when compared to Guy's solo work, have totally missed the point. When you completely transcend the current state of rock, and launch the genre forward into uncharted terrirtory, an "experimental" album is a disservice and a step backward. This trio is comprised of three deliberate, fully-realized extraordinaires. Find a better rock album this year, and I'll look at you and laugh in your face, with love, and a condescending pat on the head... Oh, music industry, you've really gone and done it this time... The Entrance Band has already obliterated your reality, and you were too dumb to notice.

This album is a let down

The soul of the entrance band is not present in this album. The previous albums were very soulful and well put together. The songs are way to poppy and the album is over produced. I was looking forward to this album very much and was very dissapointed.
