The Essence by Deva Premal
What a find! My excellent, intense Yoga teacher plays this and it takes us to such a high. It's mesmerizing without being "hooey," like a dancing Enya without the extensively long echo. Just pure rhythmic chant, which I've never been into. I'm a Dixie Chicks, White Stipes, Pink, Cesaria Evora, Bonnie Raitt, Aretha Franklin combo woman and I'm adding Deva to my eclectic library.

Beautiful music!
My prenatal yoga instructor played this music, and after my daughter was born we played this and she'd fall back asleep. It was magical holding my new little human and listening to Deva. My hormone stricken self would always cry. Maybe someday I teach her yoga and play Deva Premal! Just listened to my downloaded version off iTunes, it's different from my other cd I lost, it has added sounds, like heart beats and water sounds. So if your looking for the other version, I would check out thier direct website.
