Album Review
Competing nicely with the earlier Time After Time: The Best of Cyndi Lauper, Columbia/Legacy's The Essential Cyndi Lauper features most of the '80s icon's big hits as well as lesser-known album tracks. Considering the inconsistent nature of Lauper's albums, it is nice to find tracks like "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and "True Colors" packaged alongside "Sisters of Avalon" and "Who Let in the Rain." Most Lauper fans will already own these songs, but for casual fans, The Essential Cyndi Lauper will do the trick.

Cyndi's Awesome...
I only downloaded "Goonies" from this album beacuse I had all of her other stuff. She is an underated singer comming from a restling background. Rent or buy Steven Spielberg's "Goonies" and watch the her music video and then you know what I mean.Viva 80's!
Cyndi Lauper
As a yung person growing up in the 80's I just rember thinking that here music and voice was timeless. I have was traveling to visit family not to long ago and pulled out her CD to take with me. My 10 year old niece had never heard the music before and now has it on her Ipod. To this day I still listen to the music in the car and at home. When last i spoke to my niece she had to tell me how much she Cyndi's music as well.
Cyndi; her music bring back good, "BIG 80'S" memories!
